On 4th March 2024, FSSAI directed all notified laboratories to test the following pesticides in tea sample:

a) Cypermethrin

b)Acephate

c)Imidacloprid

d)Acetamiprid

e)Dinotefuran

f)Fipronil.

These test parameters are to be conducted in addition to the 20 banned pesticides specified for Tea. The tolerance limit of 0.1 mg/kg shall be applicable for all the above pesticides
