FSSAI Draft Notification: FSS (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Amendment Regulations, 2024

On 21st August 2024, FSSAI issued a draft notification for FSS (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Amendment Regulations, 2024 related to standards for Appendix-A, under the heading “IV. Use of Food Additives in Food Products”,—

  • In the category system: 1.2.1.1 Fermented milk (plain) not heat treated after fermentation – No additives are Safety permitted, the following shall be inserted:
  • In Food category: 1.7- Dairy-based desserts, after the food additive”TOCOPHEROLS”:

Stakeholders can submit their suggestions or objections within 60 days of the publication of this draft to the CEO, FSSAI, FDA Bhawan, Kotla Road, New Delhi- 110002 or send an email to regulation@fssai.gov.in.
